The new fall TV season has begun. I’m watching the latest edition of Dancing With the Stars, as well as The Amazing Race. I’m also really looking forward to the new season of Ghost Whisperer. It ended on a creepy note last spring and I want to see what it portends.

Of course Grey’s Anatomy is on my viewing schedule, but I also have a new show that’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. It’s called The Mentalist and it’s on CBS. Simon Baker plays Patrick Jane, a guy who used to pretend to be a psychic. He isn’t, but his skills are impressive nonetheless. He notices all kinds of details and is able to deduce things that other people miss. It’s a very cool show.

Are you a TV watcher, and if so, what shows are you looking forward to?

The Emmys are this Sunday. I have to admit that this year I have no idea who is nominated, although I don’t think it will hamper my viewing pleasure any. I like watching the red carpet arrivals, but what I especially enjoy is seeing people achieve their dreams. It’s wonderful to watch the different reactions, which range from absolute shock, to contagious joy, to touching poignancy.

The first episode of So You Think You Can Dance (Canada) aired last night. They started with the Toronto auditions, and there were several excellent dancers. I’m already looking forward to upcoming episodes, and if yesterday was any indication, it’s going to be a fantastic season!
