American Idol has been on for two weeks now and I’m really enjoying it. Yes, there are the less than sterling auditions, but sprinkled amongst those are quite a few talented people. Already I’ve been impressed by the vocal ability of some of the contestants, so I’m definitely looking forward to the round of 24.

Will you be watching this season of American Idol?

There’s a soft snow falling outside this morning and it’s a lovely sight. I hope it continues for a bit since I find the ambience conducive for creativity. I also love it when it rains. There’s something soothing about sitting at the keyboard as the raindrops lightly tap against the window.

I love Fridays! I’m sure my love of Fridays started with school when the day signaled the beginning of the weekend, and that love–now firmly entrenched–has continued. I experience an almost childlike glee when another Friday rolls around. Another simple pleasure is taking a nap in the afternoon. They don’t happen often, but when they do, they’re gold. And, of course, curling up to read a good book has the tendency to leave a smile on my face.

What are some of your simple pleasures?

I had a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings for supper the other night. Words cannot adequately describe the deliciousness contained therein, although the term mouth-watering does come to mind. I happily admit to snarfing the delectable meal, the ambrosial food a wondrous gift to my taste buds.

What recent meal proved a delight to your senses?

A toast to your health, that it be good and strong.
A toast to your happiness, may it grow all year long.
A toast to your dreams, so very precious to you.
May 2008 be the year they come true.
