Quote Day

The subject for today is success:

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
–Brian Tracy

I think and think for months and years, ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundredth time I am right.
–Albert Einstein

Is it any coincidence then that the most incredibly successful people have the most confident and positive attitudes? Many people think that positive attitude is a by-product of having achieved wealth and success. In my experience I have found that this attitude was more often the reason for and not the result of success.

What Number Are You?

April 27, 2007

You Are 4: The Individualist

You are sensitive and intuitive, with others and yourself.

You are creative and dreamy… plus dramatic and unpredictable.

You’re emotionally honest, real, and easily hurt.

Totally expressive, others always know exactly how you feel.

Showstopper

April 25, 2007

Last night on American Idol, Ryan Seacrest said that Jordin Sparks, who was the final performer, would end the evening with a showstopper. He wasn’t kidding! Jordin, who is my favorite contestant this season, sang You’ll Never Walk Alone by Rodgers & Hammerstein.

It was a fantastic performance!

The subject for today is dieting:

I’ve been on a diet for two weeks and all I’ve lost is fourteen days.
~Totie Fields

The biggest seller is cookbooks and the second is diet books - how not to eat what you’ve just learned how to cook.
~Andy Rooney

I’m not overweight. I’m just nine inches too short.

Coming Undone

Coming Undone

Coming Undone by Stephanie Tyler is an April 2007 release from Harlequin Blaze. This excellent debut novel is passionate, sexy, and utterly absorbing. Carly and Hunt are fabulous characters whose sizzling chemistry helps to make Coming Undone a delicious treat of a book!

Here’s the back cover blurb:

“I want you to start by running your tongue slowly around my ear…”

Oh no!

Surfer–make that ex-surfer–Carly Winters can’t believe she accidentally faxed an erotic letter to…a secure military line? Now navy SEAL Jonathan “Hunt” Huntington is at her door, fax in hand, asking her how the fantasy ends.

Talk about fate…

Because Carly’s parents think Hunt is her new boyfriend, and Carly does need a wedding date ASAP. Hunt’s ready to play–only on one condition. Carly’s got to teach him to hang ten. Problem is it’s been a while since Carly’s career-ending accident and she’s terrified of anything aqua. But with Hunt, letting go just may make her fantasy a reality!

Dancing With the Stars

April 18, 2007

I’ve watched every season of Dancing With the Stars, but I find this season particularly entertaining. There are several celebrities who could win and the dancing has been wonderful. Apolo Anton Ohno and Julianne Hough (his professional dance partner) did an amazing Samba Monday night. :elephant: I also like Joey Fatone and his partner Kym Johnson as well as Laila Ali and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

When it becomes more difficult to suffer than to change … you will change.

What Poetry Form Are You?

April 13, 2007

I saw this on Laura Anne Gilman’s blog and thought it was fun!

I’m terza rima, and I talk and smile.
Where others lock their rhymes and thoughts away
I let mine out, and chatter all the while.

I’m rarely on my own - a wasted day
Is any day that’s spent without a friend,
With nothing much to do or hear or say.

I like to be with people, and depend
On company for being entertained;
Which seems a good solution, in the end.

Confidence is the subject for today:

Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong.

You have to expect things of yourself before you can do them.

It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves.

What Kind of Cookie Are You?

April 6, 2007

You Are a Chocolate Chip Cookie

Traditional and conservative, most people find you comforting.
You’re friendly and easy to get to know. This makes you very popular - without even trying!

Have a great Easter Weekend, everyone!
