Writing a manuscript provides many instances for a writer to learn something new about their WIP. Whether it’s adding pertinent details or deleting a favorite scene that doesn’t advance the plot, these decisions continue to shape the story, revealing it in its true form.
It definitely registered on the ouch–o–meter when I deleted a few pages last week, but the result was well worth it. I got ideas for how to add important information in the form of new scenes that worked even better.
