Fall Musings

October 19, 2014

It’s October and the new TV season is in full swing. There are a lot of really good shows and I’m enjoying them, along with the ones that were already on my to watch list.

The weather has been lovely, but then again I like it when a jacket is required. A little crisp in the air is invigorating and the decrease in bugs is always a hit with me. Halloween decorations are sprouting up around town and it won’t be too long before that veers right into Christmas. The festive gives me a happy.

And, of course, there’s lots going on to keep me busy. Something everyone can relate to, I’m sure. :)

Game of Thrones Season Finale

June 15, 2014

The Game of Thrones season finale was absolutely epic. I thought the whole season was spectacular, but tonight’s episode was unfreakingbelievable! I just wish I could start watching the next season right now. Alas, ’tis not to be :(

Oh well, I’ll have to console myself with season two of The Witches of East End, which thankfully, begins in three weeks. And now I shall commence happy dancing.

TV Talk

November 23, 2013

I’m loving this fall TV season. The returning shows that are already part of my viewing schedule have been fantastic and, of course, there are some new favourites. The top four I look forward to are:

Sleepy Hollow
Witches of East End
Almost Human
The Blacklist

Game of Thrones

April 4, 2013

Since I don’t have a cable package that gets HBO, I’ve listened to people talk about Game of Thrones for the past two seasons. It sounded fantastic and the few clips I saw only confirmed my initial impression. Well, Showcase, a channel I do get, is now playing the first season every Friday. I’m soooo loving it. And knowing some of the stuff that’s going to happen hasn’t diminished my enjoyment one iota.

Even cooler, my sister has read the books and watched the series from the beginning. I have so much fun emailing her after each episode to discuss what’s transpired and ask questions. It’s awesome.

When next I visit her I’ll be able to catch up too since she has the first two seasons on DVD and is DVRing the third. I’ve been informed that I’m to have a viewing marathon during my vacation.

Oh the hardship. }:)

October 26, 2012

This is my favorite new show of the television season. I’d seen the ads before it started, but I hadn’t planned on watching it. Then I happened to catch the pilot episode, and it intrigued me from beginning to end. After a few episodes I still feel that way. In fact, I’m definitely hooked. I loved getting surprised like that.

This & That

November 29, 2011

I was happy that Pentatonix won The Sing-Off last night. They’ve been spectacular all season long. It’s amazing the sounds they can make with just five people.

I’m also excited that CTV is showing Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince tonight. I’ve read all seven books, but I’ve only seen the first five movies.

New Fall TV Shows

November 16, 2011

It feels like there have been a lot of new TV shows this season, which I think is great. Here are my favorites:

  • A Gifted Man
  • Once Upon A Time
  • Grimm
  • Person of Interest
  • Unforgettable

What new TV shows have made your list?

Season Finales

May 27, 2011

There have been a lot of series season finales in the last two weeks. Three, in particular, blew my mind. Castle, The Mentalist, and Hawaii 5-O were unbelievably fantastic and made me eager for the new season to start.

Which season finales rocked your world?

The Royal Wedding

April 28, 2011

The coverage for the royal wedding starts at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning. While that’s too early for me, I am aiming for a 5 a.m. wake up time since that’s an hour before the ceremony starts. I figure I can always nap later in the day if I need to.

Most of all I wish Prince William & Kate Middleton a beautiful day and a lifetime of happiness.

Hodge Podge

March 31, 2011

Yesterday I had white chocolate & macadamia nut cookies and they were delicious! Nom. Nom. Nom. Good thing there are still a few left, but. . . not for long.

There are a lot of great contestants on Dancing With the Stars this season and I’m really enjoying it. My favorite dances from the first two weeks belonged to Ralph Macchio & Kirstie Alley.

And I had a good day in the writing cave yesterday. I wrote 8 pages on the WIP. Woot!
