Timeless

April 28, 2018

I adored the first season of Timeless on NBC and I heart the second one even more. Here’s hoping a third is in the works. Fingers crossed.

An Olympic Valentine

February 14, 2018

The Canadian Olympic team has had a fantastic start to the 2018 games and I’m loving every moment of it! It’s not only great to root on our athletes but also hear the journeys of other athletes from around the world. Lot of inspiration to be found, along with a healthy dose of plain old fashioned fun.

Every day there’s a plethora of cool stuff to watch. Tonight I’m really looking forward to the Pairs Free Skate.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

The Winter Olympics

February 8, 2018

The opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics happen tommorrow, which means the ritual of wooting and cheering can commence. Of course, some of the competitions have already started. There were mixed curling matches yesterday and there’s some team figure skating short programs tonight. I love watching all of it, and look forward to the new events that get added. I’m so ready for the wonderful stories and surprises that always seem to occur. Let the cornucopia of positivity begin!

Yo Ho Ho & GOT

September 19, 2017

Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day to all me mateys!

After season 7 of Game of Thrones finished a few weeks ago, I rewatched all the previous seasons in a furious glomfest. It was cool picking up little bits of info that I’d either forgotten or not noticed before.

I’m now reading the books for the first time and I’ve finished A Game of Thrones and am a couple of days into A Clash of Kings. I’m loving them!

Festive TV

November 27, 2016

Even though it’s not December yet, there have been a plethora of holiday TV movies. I’ve watched many already, the heartwarming tales brimming with romance and good cheer. And each year it’s fun to add new ones to the list along with rewatching old favourites.

Jacket Weather

September 3, 2016

It seems we went right from summer to jacket weather and I’m so not complaining. I love when there’s a breeze in the air and no bugs. Revisions are going along, which is a good thing and it’s almost time for the new fall TV season.

There are a number of new shows that look intriguing to me and I hope they turn out to be as good as their ads. A few weeks left to summer but autumn is just around the corner and that is happy making.

Ahoy Mateys!

September 19, 2015

Shiver me timbers, it’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day! And a fine Saturday it be. This scurvy scalawag plans to enjoy it, and to watch the Emmys tomorrow night. I’ve got me favourites to cheer for, as usual, but I’m looking forward to all of it.

What’s that to my starboard side? Oho, I spy a bottle of Diet Pepsi in me future. Argh.

Shark Week

July 6, 2015

Yesterday was the beginning of Shark Week on the Discovery Channel. Every year I make it appointment television. The first night of programming was pretty awesome and the rest of the week promises to be equally great. While endlessly fascinating, I’m more than happy to watch the goings on from the comfort of my living room, hee hee. {:p

The Triple Crown

June 7, 2015

I watched the Belmont Stakes yesterday and ended up shouting for joy and clapping up a storm, much like millions of others I suspect. After American Pharoah won the Kentucky Derby, I hoped he’d win the Preakness so that he’d have a shot at the triple crown. Even so, I tried to keep my enthusiasm in check, since there have been a few horses in the last thirty-seven years with the chance to take it if they won the Belmont.

It was an exhilarating race. He led from start to finish and the jubilance of the crowd translated even on the TV screen. The announcer said he had the second fastest time among triple crown winners and the sixth fastest Belmont ever.

It was wonderful.

The Sword & the Pen

June 4, 2015

The Hardhome episode of Game of Thrones that aired last Sunday was fantastic. I actually burst into applause during the battle between Jon Snow and the White Walker. In between covering my mouth and hoping certain characters survived the fight and gasping at what happened to various Wildlings and men of the Night’s Watch, not to mention a certain giant, I was completely absorbed.

I’m working on a new project that’s also consumed my attention in the best possible way. I adore the idea and am excited to see how it develops. It’s a nice feeling.
