An Olympic Valentine

February 14, 2018

The Canadian Olympic team has had a fantastic start to the 2018 games and I’m loving every moment of it! It’s not only great to root on our athletes but also hear the journeys of other athletes from around the world. Lot of inspiration to be found, along with a healthy dose of plain old fashioned fun.

Every day there’s a plethora of cool stuff to watch. Tonight I’m really looking forward to the Pairs Free Skate.

Happy Valentine’s Day!

The Winter Olympics

February 8, 2018

The opening ceremonies for the Winter Olympics happen tommorrow, which means the ritual of wooting and cheering can commence. Of course, some of the competitions have already started. There were mixed curling matches yesterday and there’s some team figure skating short programs tonight. I love watching all of it, and look forward to the new events that get added. I’m so ready for the wonderful stories and surprises that always seem to occur. Let the cornucopia of positivity begin!

A Tree, A Trim, & A Holiday Light Show

December 8, 2017

This year the Christmas tree went up in mid-November, which I love because there’s plenty of time to enjoy it before it has to come down again. To add to the seasonal merriment, when I went to get a trim a little while ago, my hairdresser was giving fidget spinners to her clients as a holiday gift. Lol, the fun I’ve had amusing myself with my own personal light show.

October 26, 2016

Lately I’ve been thinking about the important role fun plays in life. It distracts, refreshes, celebrates, renews hope etc. And that, of course, got me to thinking about how to infuse more of it into everything I do. Needless to say it’s a project that I’m more than happy to take on. :)

Ahoy Mateys!

September 19, 2015

Shiver me timbers, it’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day! And a fine Saturday it be. This scurvy scalawag plans to enjoy it, and to watch the Emmys tomorrow night. I’ve got me favourites to cheer for, as usual, but I’m looking forward to all of it.

What’s that to my starboard side? Oho, I spy a bottle of Diet Pepsi in me future. Argh.

The Royal Wedding

April 28, 2011

The coverage for the royal wedding starts at 3 a.m. tomorrow morning. While that’s too early for me, I am aiming for a 5 a.m. wake up time since that’s an hour before the ceremony starts. I figure I can always nap later in the day if I need to.

Most of all I wish Prince William & Kate Middleton a beautiful day and a lifetime of happiness.

I signed up for Twitter on Friday. I’m still figuring out how it all works, but so far I’m having fun.
